Embellished jeans remind me of my childhood. I can just remember heading on over to Limited Too to pick up the latest and greatest in preteen trends. Or so I thought. Looking back on the bejeweled and bedazzled denim, I can’t help but wonder what in the world was going on with the people deciding the trends for them most impressionable people on the planet. And here I am, 10 years later rocking a relaxed skinny pair of jeans with the prettiest jewels around the pockets. Embellished denim is yet again a trend, and this time around it’s just so much better. It could just be because my awkward phase has passed (kinda), or I’ve stopped caring about what people think of what my #ootd looks like. Or it could just be that it is better. It’s refined and wearable, yet trendy and edgy. For whatever the reason, fringed hemlines, jewels galore, and perfect patchwork denim fill the closets of every it-girl rocking the street style scene, and that makes me smile.
