Ride or Dye

Its bad. It’s bold. It’s soft and sweet. It’s free. It’s a hundred contradictions, a hundred rebellions. It’s interesting. Motorcycle mama and boho babe come together to produce a look swimming in tie dye and overdosing in sequins.

Albeit the jacket is channeling a more glamors vibe with its abundance of sequin sparkle, the shape is masculine, over-sized, and familiar to that of the leather biker jacket. The balance between femininity and masculinity with this piece, to me, makes it shine brighter than the hundreds of sequins- although they are quite sassy and appealing.

My Motel tie dye dress from Topshop and bohemian headband of braids is feminine, free, flirty and fun. The dress holds little shape around my figure and gives the look a simple air-like softness, perfectly juxtaposed against the cold metallics of the hard biker jacket and chain link necklace.

By adding tights, metallic tube socks, and vintage grey trainers, an unexpected athletic punch is thrown and the look is transformed again.

Mixing style genres, fabrics, and textures allows for a very organic and free way of expression through fashion. Clearly fashion is my “ride or die”, in this case dye.
