Sometimes I look back on photos when my blog first kicked off and think “wow, that was such an interesting, creative look.” And I think I’ve gotten into a little rut! My denim pile in my closet shelf nearly reaches the ceiling, and I find myself grabbing for the same top time and time again. And don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with essentials and a staple style. But I like playing with things and realized I missed that time and those feeling. After all, the mixing and creativity and self-expression of wearing whatever you damn please is what made me fall in love with fashion. So today I’m channeling bright-eyed me and vowing to keep up that creativity. Mixed prints of wild leopard and asymmetrical dots pair together in this perfect way (well, I like it).
When I put the outfit on my husband said, That’s a bit much. And I thought, Prefect! Just the vibe I was going for. So a couple life lessons here. First of all, wear what you want despite what your significant other or anyone for that matter thinks! Fashion and beauty should be something you do for you, not others. Second lesson is don’t be afraid to play around with prints and colors and styles. This jumpsuit is chic meets funky, but when paired with high-top Vans it feels sporty meets funky. Get creative and make sure you’re doing it for you!
