Colorfur

 

 

I saw this glamorous jacket on ASOS a little while ago and pretty much went heart-eye emojis all over it. Teal doesn’t usually tickle my fancy, but on this particular piece, I was ALL about it. Then at work, I’m cleaning a sale rounder for my girls and there it is. The glamorous jacket in my size and on sale. I scooped it up with a big smile on m face, tried it on, and knew it was meant to be mine. Along with some style inspo, today’s post also comes with a bit of inspiration for your life as well. While wearing this gem, I was basically make fun of on two separate occasions because of it. Things like “what zebra did you take that from.” Shit like that. And by complete strangers which is exactly what well stay. At first, I was a bit offended by it. Then days later as I reflected on it, it dawned on me. I didn’t get dressed that morning or pick out my nighttime look to impress strangers or even my closest group of friends (sorry guys!). I got dressed and put on certain things because the pieces spoke to me that day. I was feeling colorful and happy, so everything needed to reflect my inner mood. With this I learned that , yeah, maybe teal fur is not everyone’s cup of tea, but it is mine along with overalls, mom jeans, and all those fashion people things that others just can’t grasp. So, if it’s mine, might as well rock it. Bring on the stares people because I don’t mind making a fashion statement. Get dressed and remember it’s all about loving the skin you’re in and all the clothes you layer on top it.
