Making the transition from summer to fall can be tough especially here in SoCal. I’m dying to bust out the layers, but the 80 degree weather has other plans for my #ootd. But that doesn’t mean I have to shy away from dressing for fall just because it’s warm out. It just means I have to get a little bit creative. My look from ModCloth is perfect for this transition period and it’ll be great when the real fall weather kicks in.
This overall dress is corduroy and the prettiest color of golden yellow; both of which are perfect for fall. But the fact that it’s a dress also makes it a great piece when it’s warm outside. Later I’ll layer it with some tights and a chunky cardigan to keep warm. The striped wine red blouse is a perfect layering piece. It’s fabric is lightweight and breathable, and I can envision a million ways to wear it all season long. The final touch of pairing everything back to booties makes me really feel fall in this look!
