I like the challenge of trying to make a piece in my closet work for something it probably wasn’t intended for. Like taking a silky maxi that’s dressed up on it’s own and finding a way to make it work for a day of shopping with friends, running errands, or creating for Manic. This asymmetrical hem maxi dress looks gorj paired with heels and a statement necklace. It’s an easy go to for a fancier night out or even work when paired with a blazer or kimono. But for a day filled with a whole lot a nothing, this doesn’t seem like the first thing I would grab from my closet. And that’s what interested me. On a day where I had really nothing to do, why shouldn’t I try and grab those pieces I normally wouldn’t. This dress says cool-girl chic when paired with my boxy denim jacket and crisp, white Stan Smith’s. And that’s how I MAXImize my closet, I guess.
