I wouldn’t say I’m a typical business women. I don’t work an 8-5, and I certainly don’t have to dress business causal. Power suit has a very different meaning in my book and the pencil skirt is not something you’ll find frequently in my closet. I work of course as the clothes do not buy themselves, but I don’t sit behind a desk (and I really don’t plan to in the conventional sense)> On the other hand, I’m somewhat of a business women in the the way I think; I’m business minded especially in the entrepreneurial sense. I love the idea of starting something yourself, working it, and molding it to be something you love. I love the idea of diving head first into that something and letting it take you over. With that, I can dress however I’d like. But sometimes I do find myself needing something work appropriate to make a good first impression. Luckily, that’s still for the fashion industry and I get a little leeway. Leather midi skirt – totally appropriate. I like this piece because it’s versatile. I can pair it with a stunning Theory blouse and booties and be ready to wow whoever I meet. I can also see myself incorporating this piece into the less formal events in my life and into those events that I see as part of my business. And I’ll show you how of course. Check back later this week and see how this leather midi can go from an interview to date night or your favorite gastropub.
