Contemporary school girl meets granny chic would be a good way to describe today’s look. It is soft, highly feminine, youthful and sophisticated. The polka dot mini, cropped sweater showing a little skin, knee high socks, and gold toe loafers scream prep school while the lace trim on my skirt, and knit material of the sweater strike resemblance to that of a wiser woman. Together it fills the generation gap by blending these two contradicting concepts together quite well. Embracing both youth and maturity in one look proves you are not afraid to take a chance on breaking the stigma of what is appropriate for today’s 20 something. Brittney said it best because at heart I still feel like I’m “not a girl, not yet a woman” and this look showcases that.
