August just went live and now it’s October, so here’s a roundup of what I also rented for September. These rentals saw me through a day of Fashion Week in New York, a wedding in Pittsburg, a surprise party and everything else in between. I wasn’t able to rent quite as much as I normally do due yo issues on RTR’s end, but I still got myself into some awesome pieces.
What I Wore
For a second I thought, omg I’m buying this. And then the price tag was about double what I thought it was. So it’s more like, omg I’m renting this once a month. I’m obsessed with how it fits. It’s boxy and the length hits in the in the right place. But maybe my mom is right, maybe I could borrow a blazer from my dad. Seen on me in a size Small.
The sleeves on this blouse are just too cool. I love the whole menswear trend, but I especially love when it feels unique and still flirty. I think this shirt is just that! I’m wearing a size Small.
Levi’s Ribcage Pleated Crop Jeans
Levi’s are definitely some of my favorite jeans, but I typically shop them for the more traditional, vintage styles rather than eye-catching, unique styles like this stripe print. BUT I LOVE THEM. I wore a size 27 and they fit perfectly. I was surprised by the fabric though. It wasn’t a thick, heavy cotton like I expected but a bit thinner and more breathable.
I picked up this piece at the RTR store in New York when there was a mishap with my original order. And although I was sad not to be wearing my first choice, I’m so glad I made it to the store cause honestly, it’s rad. I loved browsing the racks for pieces that I had basically already paid for, being able to touch and see them, and the awesome self-checkout. Oh, the jumpsuit was cool too.
Plus, if I ate a little too much pasta on the night of that rehearsal dinner, the cute little flounce would hide that 😉 I swear I wore it in a 4 but I only shot it via video.
CAPULET Dylan Double Breasted Blazer
I’m having a blazer moment these days. Probably cause they make nearly any outfit look chicer without much effort. This one was so fun in this matcha green print! Also, it has matching pants which I didn’t rent but that sounds super fun! I rented an XL for that oversized look.
VINCE. Blue Plaid Wide Leg Pants
These pants are incredible. If I worked 9-5 I’d love them for the office. But since I don’t, I love dressing them down. They’re also crazy soft. I’m wearing a size 4.
What I Didn’t
Diane von Furstenberg Halsey Top
It’s not that I don’t love this top or it didn’t fit, I just haven’t gotten around to wearing it yet! Between Rent the Runway and my Nuuly subscriptions I have so many goodies to wear all the time. It’s nice to feel like I have new pieces that I don’t need to wear right away like I usually do. I rented this in a size Small, and it’s perfect.
