The style challenge for Day 17 of the WWW Fall 30 dressing up a casual denim outfit with your prettiest pair of heels. So there it is – Slouchy, vintage-feeling levi’s paired with a somewhat metallic tank (that is actually super wearable) and a pair of pointed-toe block heels. The grandma heel is pretty much my heel MO, as I have a minor tall complex or maybe just a heel phobia. I’m not THAT tall coming in at 5′ 8″ but I just don’t see the need to tower over my friends (or my fiancé) really. And I just can’t stand those 4 inch heels. Maybe it was the hours spent on end smiling for countless hours and chatting it up with total strangers during sorority recruitment for 4 years or maybe it’s something deeper. We may never really know. But swollen, numb feet accompanied later by achy ankles and sore balls of feet just doesn’t seem reasonable to me. I’m also highly uncoordinated, so that doesn’t mix well with the balancing act that is the heel. Props to the ladies who live their lives up on the balls of their feet. You’re all the real MVP’s.
